Co je Quamatel a k čemu se užívá

Přípravek Quamatel obsahuje léčivou látku famotidin.
Famotidin snižuje vylučování žaludeční šťávy, a to tak, že snižuje jak kyselost, tak i objem vylučované
žaludeční šťávy.
Přípravek Quamatel ve formě injekce, kterou lékař podá do žíly, je určen ke krátkodobému podávání
tehdy, když nemůže být použit lék ve formě určené k polykání:
- u pacientů s aktivní, na léčbu neodpovídající vředovou chorobou žaludku nebo dvanáctníku,
Elisonův syndrom),
- u pacientů, jejichž onemocnění vyžaduje snížené vylučování žaludeční šťávy,
- jako prevence vdechnutí žaludečních šťávy při celkové anestezii (Mendelsonův syndrom),
- u pacientů s refluxem (dochází při něm k pronikání kyselého žaludečního obsahu zpět do jícnu),
- jako prevence rekurentních (návratných) vředů žaludku, dvanáctníku.

Přípravek je určený pro dospělé.
