Co je Betaloc zok a k čemu se užívá

Přípravek Betaloc zok obsahuje léčivou látku metoprolol sukcinát. Metoprolol patří do
skupiny léčiv nazývané selektivní betablokátory (cíleně blokuje určitá vazebná místa). Léčba
metoprololem snižuje účinek stresových hormonů na tzv. beta1-receptory (beta1 vazebná místa
na buňkách), které se nacházejí v srdci, cévách, ledvinách a mozku. Řízené uvolňování
metoprololu z potahovaných tablet umožňuje dosáhnout stejnoměrného účinku po 24 hodin
při užívání jednou denně.

Přípravek Betaloc zok se používá k:
- léčbě vysokého krevního tlaku (hypertenze) a ke snížení rizika komplikací spojených
s hypertenzí, jako je mozková mrtvice, srdeční infarkt a předčasná náhlá smrt.
- dlouhodobé léčbě po infarktu myokardu (k předcházení dalším infarktům).
- dlouhodobé léčbě anginy pectoris (bolest pod hrudní kostí, často vystřelující do levé
ruky, vznikající v důsledku poruch prokrvení srdečního svalu, kterou vyvolává
u postižených osob zvýšená námaha nebo stres).
inhibitory, močopudnými léky, a popř. digoxinem). Tato léčba prodlužuje dobu
přežívání, snižuje počet opětovných hospitalizací a zlepšuje funkci levé komory srdeční
a kvalitu života pacienta.
- léčbě poruch srdečního rytmu (arytmií) u pacientů s poruchou srdce (především
zrychlená činnost síní).
- léčbě poruch srdečního rytmu u pacientů bez poruchy srdce (funkční srdeční poruchy
projevující se nepravidelnou srdeční akcí a bušením srdce).
- předcházení záchvatům migrény.
