Co je Letrox a k čemu se užívá

Letrox je přípravek obsahující jako léčivou látku hormon štítné žlázy levothyroxin, který má stejný účinek
jako hormony tvořené přirozeně.

Letrox užíváte jako náhradu chybějících hormonů a/nebo abyste ulevil(a) přetížené štítné žláze.
Letrox se užívá:
 jako náhrada (substituce) chybějících hormonů štítné žlázy u všech forem hypotyreózy (snížené
funkce štítné žlázy)
 k prevenci návratu strumy (zvětšení štítné žlázy) po operaci strumy, pokud je funkce štítné žlázy
normální
 k léčbě nezhoubného zvětšení štítné žlázy (strumy), pokud je funkce štítné žlázy normální
 jako doprovodná léčba k léčbě hypertyreózy (zvýšené funkce štítné žlázy) léky tlumícími zvýšenou
funkci štítné žlázy (tyreostatiky) poté, co bylo dosaženo normální funkce štítné žlázy
 při zhoubném nádoru štítné žlázy, zejména po operačním odstranění, aby byl potlačen opětovný růst
nádoru a nahrazeny chybějící hormony štítné žlázy
 k vyšetření funkce štítné žlázy (supresnímu testu)
