Co je Thyrozol 10 a k čemu se užívá

Tento lék obsahuje thiamazol, který řídí nadměrnou tvorbu hormonů štítné žlázy bez ohledu na její
příčinu.

Thyrozol se používá k léčbě nadměrné tvorby hormonů štítné žlázy:
- pokud je nutné, abyste užíval(a) lék k léčbě zvýšené činnosti štítné žlázy, zvláště pokud máte
malou strumu (zduření na přední straně krku) nebo žádnou strumu,
- pokud se chystáte podstoupit chirurgický výkon na Vaší štítné žláze,
- pokud budete léčen(a) pomocí radioaktivního jódu, zvláště v závažných případech nadměrné
produkce hormonů štítné žlázy,
- po radiační léčbě do doby, než se objeví plný účinek radioaktivního jódu.

Thyrozol se také používá v prevenci nadměrné tvorby hormonů štítné žlázy před podáním
radioaktivního jódu, jako je vyšetření pomocí jódové kontrastní látky:
- pokud máte mírně zvýšenou tvorbu hormonů štítné žlázy bez dalších příznaků,
- pokud má Vaše štítná žláza určité oblasti s tvorbou hormonů štítné žlázy (autonomní adenom),
- pokud jste dříve měl(a) nadměrnou tvorbu hormonů štítné žlázy.
