Co je Velaxin a k čemu se užívá

Přípravek Velaxin obsahuje účinnou látku venlafaxin.
Velaxin je antidepresivum, které patří do skupiny léčiv nazývaných inhibitory zpětného vychytávání
serotoninu a noradrenalinu (SNRI). Tato skupina léčiv se používá k léčbě deprese a dalších
onemocnění, jako např. úzkostné poruchy. Má se za to, že lidé, kteří jsou depresivní a/nebo úzkostní,
mají nižší hladinu serotoninu a noradrenalinu v mozku. Není zcela známo, jak antidepresiva fungují,
ale mohou pomáhat tím, že zvyšují hladinu serotoninu a noradrenalinu v mozku.

Velaxin je určen k léčbě deprese u dospělých. Léčba deprese nebo úzkostných poruch je důležitá
k tomu, aby Vám bylo lépe. Pokud tyto poruchy nejsou léčeny, Vaše potíže mohou přetrvávat a být
závažnější a hůře léčitelné.
